HOW WE HELP

Impact Communications & Materials

Help people understand the value of your work.

What are nonprofit impact communications?

Impact communications explain the work your organization does and why it matters, using evidence and approved stories. We can help with program one-pagers, presentations, supporter updates, and impact-report content. Your organization supplies and approves the facts; this service does not replace impact evaluation or financial reporting.

The work is meaningful. The explanation needs to be useful.

Your team may have program updates, reports, photographs, and firsthand knowledge of the work, while still finding it difficult to explain that work clearly to someone outside the organization. A presentation becomes a collection of activity counts, or a one-pager tries to cover every program at once. The audience has information but little help understanding what matters.

We help organize approved evidence into a clear account for a specific audience. That means explaining the work and its context, making practical details easy to find, and using stories only where they are appropriate and approved.

Connect the message to evidence your team can stand behind.

We begin with the audience, the purpose of the material, and the facts your organization can confirm. Program owners review definitions, dates, and any reported results so the copy distinguishes activities from outcomes. We then develop the agreed narrative, design, and format for the channel in scope.

Deliverables can include program one-pagers, presentations, supporter updates, and impact-report content. Participant stories and photographs follow the consent and review requirements agreed with your organization. Impact evaluation, financial reporting, and grant writing remain separate responsibilities.

ILLUSTRATIVE NONPROFIT SCENARIO

Give a referral partner a clearer program overview.

Imagine a family-support organization whose referral partners rely on an outdated slide deck. A focused project could create a program overview that explains who the service is for, how referrals work, what happens after an inquiry, and where to find current details. Approved service information would provide the foundation for the copy.

If the organization has a relevant result or an approved participant story, it could be included with enough context to understand what it represents. If it doesn't, the material can still explain the service clearly without inventing evidence or making broader claims than the available information supports.

Give your audience something it can understand and use.

The intended outcome is a set of approved materials that makes your work easier to explain and share. We agree the format, audience, and use before production, then provide the scoped files and source material at handoff. The organization retains responsibility for confirming the facts as programs evolve.

What the work can include

Program messaging, presentations, one-pagers, impact-report content, campaign materials, and approved stories based on evidence your organization provides. We agree consent and review requirements before using participant stories. Financial reporting, impact evaluation, and grant writing are outside this offer.

  • A message and evidence brief for the intended audience
  • Selected program, presentation, or impact-report materials
  • Consent and review requirements for any participant stories
  • Approved copy and files for the agreed channels

Questions nonprofit teams ask

Can you write and design an impact report?

Impact-report content and design can be scoped using evidence your organization supplies and approves. This work does not replace impact evaluation, financial reporting, or assurance of the underlying results.

Do we need participant stories?

No. Clear program explanations and approved evidence can communicate value without a personal story. Any participant story or photograph requires the consent and review process agreed with your organization.

Can you create materials for community partners?

Yes. Program overviews, referral materials, presentations, and related digital copy can be included. We agree the audience, required information, formats, and review owners before production.

How are fees and timing agreed?

A free discovery call and no-charge assessment help define the work. We agree deliverables, responsibilities, fees, and timing before the engagement starts. The number of audiences, content needs, integrations, and review steps can affect the scope.

Do you work with nonprofits outside the Hudson Valley?

Yes. Sync Strategic is based in Orange County, NY and serves the Hudson Valley, NYC, and beyond. Remote collaboration is available for organizations outside the region.
